Hello again! My newest review is on the book Pax by Sara Pennypacker. If you haven't seen it yet, you can find it HERE.

This will also be the next book my book club reads! I am looking forward to discussing it with the kids, especially since this will be our first book told (partly) from the perspective of an animal. I hesitated assigning this book at first because books told from the perspective of animals tend to have a "kiddie" feel to them, even if they really aren't. I blame Disney ;-) But if you watch my review, you will see that this book really isn't very "kiddie" at all. It's about war and the consequences of war. I think it has a powerful message. We'll see if the kids agree;-)
Below are the questions I will be discussing with the kids. I love it when I find discussion questions already compiled. I make my own when I can't find anything, but it sure helps me out if someone else has already gone to the trouble!
I'll let you know what the kids thought of it! I always try to have a snack and/or craft associated with the book as well, so I may make fox shaped cookies. We'll see. As far as a craft goes...I'll have to brainstorm some more. I'll let you know what I come up with and update you in about a month with what we end up doing!
Happy Reading!
