ABOUT ME
My name is Shelby and I am a wife to a wonderful man and a stay at home mom to an adorable two year old boy. I was homeschooled from 4th-12th grades and have a bachelor's degree in Writing and a minor in Art from the University of Central Arkansas.
I have taught local homeschoolers writing, piano and art for the last 4 years and recently started a book club for my writing students. The book club inspired me to start this blog and vlog. I love children's literature, but realized that most parents don't have time to make sure the books their children pick out from the library are clean and worth reading.
I worked in a library for two years during high school and was shocked then at how many books in the children's section had adult language or themes in them, and that was 10 years ago! It has only gotten worse since then. It is in that light that I started reviewing books. I hope that my reviews and recommendations can be of use to parents who are seeking to protect their children's minds while still encouraging them to read!
